LM's Raider chin fairing painted to match the Tommy Blue and Candy RedFor 2008, Yamaha’s Star Motorcycles set the cruiser world on its proverbial ear, and released the Raider onto an unsuspecting public.  In so doing, it introduced a motorcycle whose combination of hot-rod chopper styling, power, handling the market had not yet experienced.  Buyers responded in kind, snapping up every last example from sea to shining sea, leaving showrooms floors bare, and a shocked aftermarket scrambling to catch up, leaving the selection of Yamaha Raider accessories rather slim.
Launched in February ’08, RaiderPerformance.com was established to serve as the premier on-line home for the burgeoning Raider community looking for Yamaha Raider accessories.  “The minute we bought our Raider, we realized that the aftermarket Yamaha Raider accessories had been caught completely by surprise” says Luke Ayd, founder and publisher of RaiderPerformance.com.  “The availability of quality Yamaha Raider accessories was painfully small”.  The stated mission of the site is to bring its members and all Raider owners the very best Yamaha Raider accessories that the aftermarket has to offer, with all the news, technical information, modification & customization options and passion that this incredible bike inspires.  Keeping their finger on the pulse of the Raider community, traffic has doubled every month since the site’s launch, showing no signs of slowing down, and the search to find more Yamaha Raider accessories has begun.
While a couple of companies immediately released the predictable aftermarket Yamaha Raider accessories– pipes, windshields, mirrors, pegs, etc – the availability of custom body parts for the bike was close to nothing.  Realizing this glaring deficit, and looking for a chin spoiler in particular, RaiderPerformance looked to Low and Mean.  “We were familiar with Low and Mean from our experience with the Kawasaki Mean Streak and their parts for the Yamaha Warrior” says Luke (a selection of incredible Low and Mean Yamahas can be seen here: http://www.lowandmean.com/bike-gallery-yamaha.php).  “I really liked the spoiler and fenders they did for the Mean Streak and immediately thought of them for new Yamaha Raider accessories”.
Low and Mean stepped up to the challenge, and while other companies sat on their hands, introduced the first (and to date, only) Chin Spoiler/Lower Fairing for the Raider. This high-strength fiberglass accent is a perfect compliment to the custom chopper intent of the Raider.  Released simultaneously on LowandMean.com and RaiderPerformance.com in June, 2008, the Chin Spoiler took the Raider nation by storm, adding significant malicious style.
While Raider owners continue to search for fender options, Low and Mean will deliver the follow-up punch with its soon to be released front fender designed specifically for the Raider, cementing their reputation as a premier manufacturer in the Yamaha Raider accessories market.  Unlike any current choices, Low and Mean’s Reaper front fenders will be direct bolt-on replacements for the stock unit, requiring no cutting, welding or additional brackets or other parts, and designed to fit perfectly right out of the box.  Both designs hug the front tire, providing a sleek, clean and wicked appearance.  The anticipation (and waiting list) for these fenders continues to grow.
RaiderPerformance.com maintains an email list of any Raider owners interested in receiving updates on any of Low and Mean’s upcoming Yamaha Raider accessories, including the fenders.  To be included, shoot them a note here.

The LM Raider chin spoiler and Reaper front fender will be available in five different finishes:

-Basic semi-gloss black gel-coat
-Candy Red
-Tommy Blue
-2009 Silver tribal
-Gossy black show finish
